Early childhood care and development involves parents and decision-makers in a constructive action of social planning and participation, as they work on improving the circumstances of children care and living conditions. The guide serves to spread the culture of capacity building for individuals, families, communities and nations.

The collection covers different aspects: the consequences of difficult circumstances on children, reactions and necessary support mechanisms.

This handbook is intended for parents and schools. It offers a psychosocial assistance program in emergency situations, for intervening as soon as possible to help children cope with the traumas they have suffered and deal with their effects.
