Mental Health
Being aware of the impact of the media on youth and how delicate the issue can be, a thematic workshop was convened, 44 participants from different organizations from Lebanon attended (Ministry of Education, UNRWA, Lebanese University, Balamand University, Higher Council of Education, Handicap International, Al Kawthar Highschool, Assafir newspaper, Al Haber newspaper, American University Of Beirut, Ghassan Kanafani association, Sawa Group, Action Aid ) and a report was produced containing all the recommendations and the results of this workshop.

It is a practical guide for those working with youth in the health and social fields. The translation of the original Norwegian version was adapted and revised with the participation of many professionals working with teenagers, mental health institutions and experts. Many adjustments were made to suit the circumstances of Arab communities, meet the needs of this age group and address current challenges.
The two studies aim to upgrade the impact and effectiveness of health programs that address youth, by defining indicators which are based on field data and research, in order to provide enhanced services to the beneficiaries.
They also aim to help programs in the field of youth and healthy living to adopt standards based on objective data, have the needed impact and meet the actual needs of targeted beneficiaries, i.e. youth and their communities.

A brief guide on establishing a program for youth, in which youth take the initiative to suggest the program content, lay its foundations and enforce it. The guide is followed by 6 interrelated steps classified in a logical sequence. Each step is presented in a chapter, and each chapter covers concepts, action methods and executive tools:
1- Exploring the situation and needs
2- Collecting information and necessary data
3- Building the project: objectives and plan setting
4- Setting the executive plan and its tools
This study deals with Lebanese legislation related to or affecting mental health among the population in general, and among children and youth in particular. It is the first of a series of studies which the ARC's Mental Health Program is working on publishing, within a regional partnership.
This study aimed to shed light on a number of Egyptian policies and legislations, in order to explore the extent of their impact on the mental health of individuals and to identify their weaknesses and shortcomings from a rights perspective. Thus, the study intends to contribute to efforts which advocate and call for meeting the right to mental health, by identifying the difficulties and obstacles which need to be modified and developed.

This study addresses the Palestinian legislations related to mental health or affecting it, among the population in general and youth in particular. The concept of "mental health", in its positive or modern developmental sense, expresses greater sensitivity to human rights and needs. It is increasingly present in the concepts of the international human rights discourse, mainly the right to self-development, respect of human dignity and child's best interest.
A practical guide that aims to provide health and social workers as well as parents with necessary knowledge to deal with mental health issues and achieve positive mental health for all. It provides the reader with basic knowledge that helps him understand mental disorders, and around 30 mental health problems. It uses the "problem solving" approach to guide readers on how to identify, evaluate and deal with these problems.
